40 x 40cm, Acrylic & aerosol on canvas.
For the younger generations, the humble phone booth is a quirky, redundant relic from the past. But in its time, it served as a vital link to friends and loved ones whilst away from home. This is a tongue in cheek comment on our current day preference to text someone rather than actually talk to them on the phone.
This original painting was created using a combination of acrylic underpainting, overlayed with spray paint utilising hand cut stencils. The edges are painted black and it is ready to hang.
