Acrylic, aerosol & collage on canvas - 122 x 91.5cm
This is the latest in my series depicting Luna Park in Melbourne. At first look, this is simply a painting with a catchy title and a cool clown, but I would like to invite the viewer to look beyond the humour and think about the darker side of the human condition - the one that can walk past a homeless person on the street and pretend not to see them, or flick to another TV channel to avoid an unpleasant news story. We've probably all done it at some stage, but if we, as a collective species continue to be apathetic to the real problems in our society and our environment - we will all soon go the way of the Dodo - (rant over, sorry)!.
The edges are painted white and is ready to hang.
