'Be More Like George' is a snapshot of a typical morning street scene in front of this beautiful old building in Fitzroy, Melbourne. I love this area and was originally planning to paint the entire building, but instead, decided to focus on the people going about their daily routine. Using a unique combination of impressionism and hand cut stencils, I am elevating a mundane work-a-day scene, into something that is beautiful and unexpected. The background is multi-layered and textured to symbolise generations of history and also to create visual interest.
Is this an Original Artwork?
Yes. This is an original one-off artwork by Geoff Cunningham. I may create related pieces from the same stencil set, but each work is made unique through changes in colour, cropping, composition and narrative.
Is this artwork signed, framed and ready to hang?
Every piece is hand-signed on the front and features my distinctive stencil logo on the back, authenticating each work as an original. Most of my pieces are already framed. For most unframed works, you can add framing at checkout if desired.
Do you offer delivery & hanging in Melbourne?
Yes. I offer free personal delivery in the Melbourne area, and I’m happy to help hang the artwork where practical.

Yes. Original artworks can be shipped Australia-wide. I pack each piece carefully in a sturdy box to protect it during transit.
