Instant Summer is an original stencil artwork by Melbourne artist Geoff Cunningham, inspired by the nostalgia of instant photography, endless Australian summers, and carefree youth. Featuring a retro Polaroid camera ejecting a cool sun-drenched portrait, the work captures the feeling of fleeting memories frozen in time. Hand cut and layered using Cunningham’s signature stencil technique, the piece combines bold graphic composition with a distinctly retro aesthetic.

40 x 40cm (43 x 43 framed), Acrylic, & aerosol on canvas, this piece is framed in a natural oak floating frame.

This is a quieter variation on the Stencilchrome series, this work keeps the spirit of the oversized slide concept while presenting the image in a more pared-back framed format.

Is this an Original Artwork?

Yes. This is an original one-off artwork by Geoff Cunningham. I may create related pieces from the same stencil set, but each work is made unique through changes in colour, cropping, composition and narrative.

Is this artwork signed, framed and ready to hang?

Every piece is hand-signed on the front and features my distinctive stencil logo on the back, authenticating each work as an original. Most of my pieces are already framed. For most unframed works, you can add framing at checkout if desired.
