Sometimes I need a change from doing streetscapes, so I turn to my secret love of birds. They are fun to paint, especially Australian cockatoos as they have so much personality!  

The Red Tailed Black Cockatoo is a beautiful native Australian bird and is often seen in large flocks, though it also occurs in pairs and trios. It is an active, noisy and conspicuous species that can be found all across Australia.
