This original stencil painting by Melbourne artist Geoff Cunningham captures the nostalgic character of suburban streetscapes. Inspired by ordinary neighbourhoods, Geoff blends hand-cut stencils and layered spray techniques to create bold light, shadow and detail. Each piece celebrates the warmth, simplicity and familiarity of everyday life.

This original painting is based on my own photograph taken in Bayeaux, France. I love old doors and the stories behind them - a reminder that even in the ordinary and neglected, there is beauty and history waiting to be discovered. The mysterious suited man invites you into a realm of imagination and contemplation - who is he, and what is his story?

Is this an Original Artwork?

Yes. This is an original one-off artwork by Geoff Cunningham. I may create related pieces from the same stencil set, but each work is made unique through changes in colour, cropping, composition and narrative.

Is this artwork signed, framed and ready to hang?

Every piece is hand-signed on the front and features my distinctive stencil logo on the back, authenticating each work as an original. Most of my pieces are already framed. For most unframed works, you can add framing at checkout if desired.
